Storm breaking over Smailholm Tower and the Eildons.
I caught this ‘cinematic widescreen’ moment in a photograph whilst passing on a back road over to Smailholm.
As the storm passed and broke in the distance, silhouetting these two famous Borders landmarks, the scene spoke to me in three separate frames hence this piece became a triptych.
I love the darkly brooding appeal of this artwork.
