St Mary’s Church, Hawick. There has been a church on this ancient site for over 800 years, the present building dating back to 1764. It’s quite majestic on its elevated site, with the clock tower and its bell-cast roof always catching my eye. The Argyle sky as a backdrop is a ‘doff of the cap’ to the globally renowned Hawick knitwear manufacturing industry.
