The Scottish Borders is known for its rich agricultural heritage.
As a child growing up within a vibrant farming community, I recall many stories of the challenges and triumphs of farming life that capture the heart, humour and the hard work of life on the land.
This piece is a triptych, showing a farmhouse and steadings surrounded by the rich, patterned textures of the land under the ever-changing sky above. It represents the golden thread that binds us together in Borders life.
Gouache and pigment pen on 300gsm watercolour paper
13.7×13.9cm X 3
55×28cm in antique white mount
Unframed (but can be framed on request)
