A sunny June day spent in Edinburgh to see ‘The Scottish Colourists’ exhibition at the Dovecote Studio.
For as long as I can remember, I have been inspired by the boldness and bravery of Peploe, Fergusson, Cadell, Hunter et al, pushing the boundaries of colour, form and light. Tea & cake followed in the Dovecote café afterwards, so I captured the view out of the window onto Infirmary St looking down High School Wynd over the old town.
Graphite on paper
18.5×19cm // 29.5×29.6 with dark grey mount
