Cauldshiels Loch is part of Sir Walter Scott’s Abbotsford Estate. One of the most significant designed landscapes in Scotland, it sits between Faldonside Loch and Rhymer’s Glen. It is a lovely spot to stop for a break whilst on the long walk I like to do with Milou from Selkirk to Melrose.
This piece is a bit of a homage to the Scottish Colourists, who have long been an inspiration to me.
Acrylics on canvas board, 36x25cm
39×28cm in white tray frame
